Keynotes
Guaranteed to get your students up, excited, and motivated!
We offer three different keynotes, each with their own distinct message. Keynotes are generally one to two hours in length, usually in a more formal setting like a theatre or auditorium.
If you're looking for something more than a lecture- if you're looking for a high energy, audience-involving keynote presentation filled with smart content, free stuff, and stunning multimedia that will leave the participants leaping to their feet in wild applause, then you are looking for Life Unlimited!
Life Unlimited Keynote from Stende Inspirations on Vimeo.
Here is Troy Stende presenting his Life Unlimited Keynote. This is a very popular keynote for New Student Orientations and Leadership Conferences.
Some fundamentals of Life Unlimited:
- Get Better GRADES
- Learn words that make you SMARTER & STRONGER
- BEAT the BLUSH
- Improve RELATIONSHIPS
- Experience more SUCCESS
- Overcome FEAR
Life Unlimited teaches students to get the most out of their own life. Every student comes to college looking for something different; essentially, everyone has their own agenda. Life Unlimited addresses that individuality by covering three distinct topics areas. We want to ensure that EVERY student leaves the program with some new learning that will impact their life in a positive way. The three key concepts in Life Unlimited are:
- HOW THOUGHTS IMPACT ACTION
- learn to control your internal dialogue
- turn your mind into a powerful manifesting tool
- FEAR
- discover what fear really is
- four ways to overcome fear, and a specific tool to squelch "butterflies in the belly"
- GRADES
- increase your GPA by at least one letter grade
- a little known and highly effective way to cut your study time in half

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
This program gives people inspiration to be that change. We go beyond talking about it and actually provide a tool participants can use to take action toward changing their world. Social isolation activates the same area in our brains as physical pain: it truly hurts to feel alone and left out. The dream of a connected campus becomes reality with this simple tool which replaces isolation and exclusion with relationship and community.
Humans are social creatures. The need for belonging and acceptance comes just after the need for health and safety on Maslow's hierarchy. Research shows that social isolation, rejection, and social ostracism have similar physiological reactions in our bodies and in our brains as actual physical pain (MacDonald, G., and Leary, M.R. (2005). Feeling alone, feeling left out not only hurts emotionally, it can hurt physically. Additionally, researchers have found correlations between rejection and aggression, indicating that prolonged periods of rejection and isolation could lead to increased anger and aggression, increasing the possibility for anti-social, perhaps even violent behavior.
In an experiential setting, Be the Change addresses the need to belong, the need for acceptance by allowing participants to experience the power of words—the words we say to others, and the words we say to ourselves. Participants will experience the physical impact of negative and positive words; have an opportunity to share dreams and goals; visualize a world and community where people are accepted with understanding instead of apathy; experience how it feels to give and receive acknowledgment; and create a strong, bonded community.
In addition to exchanging blue ribbons within the group, participants will be given more blue ribbons with which to acknowledge people on their campuses and throughout their communities; to inspire others to “be the change” they wish to see in their world. Participants will also brainstorm—use their imaginations—to discuss innovative ways to recreate the Be the Change experience on their own campuses.
Decrease apathy and increase involvement
Apathy is a problem on almost every campus we visit. Students go to class and then go home; they don't get involved or participate in any campus functions or organizations. These students are missing out on a world of opportunities: educationally, professionally, and personally.
We believe one of the main causes of apathy on campus stems from when a student doesn't feel like they belong. Why should they do anything more than just "put in their time" at a place where they feel no connection; where they don't feel supported, appreciated, or acknowledged?
Humans are social creatures. The need for belonging and acceptance comes just after the need for health and safety on Maslow's hierarchy. Humans have a fundamental need to be a part of a connected community. When that need is not met, we revert to survival mode, and do only what we have to do. Be the Change encourages participants to take the first steps toward breaking through that and begin to create communities of belonging and acceptance; through the power of acknowledgement.

Be the Change is based on the Who I Am Makes a Difference™ acknowledgment program, which has been featured in Chicken Soup for the Soul™. Over 22 million people worldwide have been acknowledged by the Who I Am Makes a Difference™ blue ribbon, which has been translated into thirteen different languages. In addition to exchanging blue ribbons with each other during the program, participants are given additional blue ribbons they'll use to acknowledge people on campus and throughout the community, creating ripples of change that extend far beyond the keynote.

Life Unlimited
This is a wonderful program - by the end, I could not help but to smile because I felt so good about myself and about the difference I can make on my campus.![]()
Erin Tess, Student, Ashland University, Ohio
Troy,
I just really wanted to express my gratitude for everything that you helped me learn about myself. In asking you what I should be doing to find my purpose, you've helped me discover what it is that I shouldn't be doing, and that is be so impatient with my life. The notion that I need to know what I'll be doing for the rest of my life caused so much stress and worry that I was actually very much afraid of the next day. Because I wasn't so (and still am not) sure about what my purpose is, what my passion is, I had this fear of wasting time...Listening to your story and defining 'success' thru your point of view, hearing you say that there's a reason for everything really hit home. I may not be on the path that will lead me to my final destination just yet, but I understand that I'm on the path that will eventually lead me to the right one...Learning to let go about my insecurites about my future I think is just the first step. Being proactive and not stationary, eventually I'll find my passion.
Thanks for all that you've helped with. I hope to see you again sometime back on our campus.
Sincerely,
Jay Pedregosa
